Leadtek Winfast PxVC1100 @ Bjorn3D
Published: Tuesday, June 16, 2009 | By: WillOkay in the world of new and neat stuff. This new toy for your PC looks to take the cake for HD guys. Not exactly sure how it would fair against regular high end GPU's, but I'm pretty sure it would be a good fight.
Cell processor is designed in a way that it is flexible. IBM takes the Cell architecture and incorporate it into servers due to its strong performance in the floating point calculation and the processor's emphasizes of bandwidth over latency and power efficiency. Toshiba, on the other hand, takes the Cell processor and incorporates it into HDTV and multi-media environment. The result is the SpursEngine SE1000 stream processor the company has released recently.
Toshiba has a big plan with the SpursEngine as it will be incorporated into various hardware from laptops, desktop add-on cards, digital cameras, and digital camcorders. It is also possible to use the processor in an environment that requires large-volume HD image processing, and hand/face gesture recognition. In fact, Toshiba Notebook PC and Qosmio G50 haves already included such technology.
Here is a first. I really don't want one.
Maybe!

BFG Tech EX Series 1200 Watt Power Supply Review @ OCIA
Published: Tuesday, June 16, 2009 | By: WillThis has to be one of the best Power Supplies to come out in a long time. Let's take a read and see how they feel about it.
So in this day of smaller PSUs, the 1kW+ power supply is still a legitimate choice for many enthusiasts and gamers. Today I will be looking at BFG Tech's latest and largest power supply, the EX Series 1200 watt modular PSU. Yeah, I know, BFG is a video card and motherboard manufacturer, but they have been building power supplies for some time. The EX 1200 has BFG's Frequency Conversion technology, which allows for 80Plus efficiency, even at loads as small as 10% (most power supplies aren't very efficient at very low loads). This technology makes the EX significantly different from nearly every power supply on the market. Read on to find out about the BFG EX-1200!
Yep you guessed it. I want one!

NL: PC Game Reviews Roundup
Published: Tuesday, June 16, 2009 | By: WillHere is some more PC gaming for for everyone. Getting away from the normal shoot'em ups to a less violent gaming experience here. Well till you start figuring out ways to kill the Sims.
The Sims 3 - PC Review @ Gamepyre
When I asked myself that particular question I was still installing The Sims 3. At that time, the only look I gave the user's manual was reading the serial key. Once the game was installed and I started playing I realized that EA got me hooked. I only wonder how many dollars I'm gonna end up spending on expansion packs for The Sims 3. My guess is a lot. Already, moments after its release, The Sims 3 web-store is up and kicking with a multitude of extras ready for you to download. Let's face it, this game is fun, this game is addictive, this game will cost you way more than 50 bucks in the long run; especially once the addiction really kicks in. I don't know how The Sims 3 did in your neighborhood on release day, but here in Florida where I live, The Sims 3 was sold out within a 50 mile radius by lunch time.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game: The Review @ OCModShop
With the film scheduled for 2012 Atari has given fans a treat to tide them over with the release of Ghostbusters the Video Game. The game is set two years after the second film and features the voices of Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Annie Potts, Ernie Hudson, Alyssa Milano, and Brian Doyle Murray.
Players are cast as a new recruit who is along to help the guys and test new equipment. No sooner do you show up for work, when a large supernatural event occurs and plunges New York City into chaos as random specters are menacing the town.I ain't afraid of no ghost.

ASUS Mars Dual GTX 285 4 GByte Card and Benchmark Preview @ ocaholic
Published: Friday, June 12, 2009 | By: WillAsus has been making some new wicked looking video cards that Ninjalane was able to look at during Computex. Now it looks like these guys were able to get ahold of one for testing. It does look like something out of a futuristic game.
With the Mars/2DI/4GD3 ASUS presents the fastet graphics card for gaming and enthusiasts. Therefore they had to design a completely new cooler fitting the design we already know from the GTX 295. This new cooler also has to be able to cope with much more dissipation power from the because the GPU are clocked way higher than the on a GTX 295. Furthermore the card is limited to 1'000 pieces worldwide which will make this piece of hardware exclusive from the very beginning.
I think it is not a video card, but a weapon out of Quark Wars.

Inside the Gigabyte Nan-Ping Factory @ Guru3D
Published: Friday, June 12, 2009 | By: WillHere is something to make the inner geek happy. A huge tour of the Gigabyte factory with some great pics. It is really an amazing sight to see with all those workers putting this awesome hardware together.
THIS YEAR we were in Taiwan / Taipei to attend the Computex 2009 exhibition. Gigabyte Technology has a total of four manufacturing plants, and one of them is located roughly 45 minutes outside that big city called Taipei.
To seize the moment and opportunity, we figured it would be a good idea to visit them and have a look inside that massive building of theirs.
The factory is called the Nan-Ping factory and open as Gigabyte is, we were allowed to photograph the entire production process so we can show you what is happening inside, while that motherboard or VGA card is being built.I would go nuts trying to put all those small components on, all day.

MSI Eclipse Plus Review @ OCC
Published: Thursday, June 11, 2009 | By: WillOnce again Ninjalane was very impressed with what MSI has coming out for our readers that we saw at Computex. Here is a new X58 beast that sports the awesome NF200, and a layout very similar to another more "Classified" motherboard.
"MSI has certainly delivered a great board with the Eclipse Plus, overclocking my i7 to 4GHz was fairly easy although with base clock frequencies past 200 some moderate tweaking had to be done, I even managed to get a CPU-Z at 4.5GHz. If an overclock fails, the motherboard must restart three times to clear - an annoyance but with the clear CMOS button near the PS/2 ports users can easily reset the BIOS and continue overclocking. The BIOS has plenty of options, and worked without a hitch minus a small glitch that I overcame with some work and CMOS clearing, but was likely due to (possibly unstable) overclocking runs. The memory voltage was being loaded at 1.2V rather than 1.6V, and a few other anomalies. Memory support only goes up to 1333MHz, with 1600MHz being possible through overclocking although higher is possible - it worked fine in testing although XMP support may have had a tiny bit of trouble. MSI finally solidified the color scheme to black and blue, removing the heinous copper heat sinks that stood out like sore thumbs and alternatively used matching heat sinks with metal casings with MSI's logos and created a much more serious looking board!"
Did you get that one?

Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P Motherboard Review @ Legit Reviews
Published: Thursday, June 11, 2009 | By: WillHere at Ninjalane we have two mind sets towards computer hardware. We love the ultra expensive super cool stuff to play with. Then the responsible best bang for the buck side always tends to step out. This board here from Gigabyte looks to be right on par with this kind of thinking.
"The GA-MA770T-UD3P uses Gigabyte's famed Ultra Durable 3 technology on this budget friendly AMD socket AM3 platform. This technology brings 2 oz copper PCB and further helps to reduce the system temperature and dramatically enhance the performance. Based on AMD 770 chipset, the GA-MA770T-UD3P supports all the 45nm AMD AM3 Phenom II series processors that feature DDR3 memory controllers and HyperTransport 3.0 technology. To top all that off the board also features Easy Energy Saver technology to help conserve power and be green friendly. Not a bad list of features considering this board retails for just $79.99 shipped at Newegg! Add in one of the $87 AMD Athlon II 250 3.0GHz dual-core processors and you have a motherboard and processor for under $170.."
Sweet price for such overclocking potential.

Wacom Intuos4 Professional Pen Tablet @ Techgage
Published: Wednesday, June 10, 2009 | By: WillOkay, okay this news post of a Wacom Pen Tablet is all me here. Being in the graphic design industry I cannot see how anybody can use photoshop without one.
"Wacom's tablets have long been considered an industry standard, and reasons as to why are obvious to anyone who uses them. Though the Intuos3 was a masterpiece of a tablet, the Intuos4 improves things all-around, such as with a higher level of sensitivity, LED-labeled quick-keys, removable USB cable, improved design and more."
I likey, likey.

Scythe Mugen 2 CPU Cooler @ Pro-Clockers
Published: Wednesday, June 10, 2009 | By: WillHuge heatsinks are just awesome to look at. Then if they perform as well as there size it is a huge PLUS too. The first Mugan was a beast, but this one looks to take the cake.
"Today's review sample was originally a pretty good cooler in its earlier days. The Mugen cooler was a favorite of many reviewers that had the pleasure of reviewing it. Performance was right there with the Noctua NH-U12P, Tuniq Tower 120 and many others we regarded as very good coolers. However, the new version is not only compatible with the new Intel i7 processor, but is heavier, taller and comes with a better performing cooling fan. Is it enough to put it at the top of the list with the likes of the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme and the new Zalman CNPS 9900 LED? We shall see."
Hey Scythe where is Ninjalanes to play with?
